I have internet and a computer to access this week so I can post earlier than I have in the past. We are having a good week here in South Carolina and it nice to be able to spend time with a friend in ministry. The room we are working in is fairly large and I am battling a bit of a cold. This weekend was the longest one to date on tour as we had a 4 hour delay due to a blowout about an hour north of Tampa. Those of you who know our story know that last summer we had more than our fair share of those. Once again though, God smiled on us and provided just what we needed just when we needed it. The night before, after we loaded out from the church in Florida, by the way you guys did a great job, we took the trailer back to the hotel which we never do. I don't like to pull the trailer late at night. Anyway, we were pulling into the parking lot and I was tired and hit a curb in the parking lot which once again caused one of our tires to form a bubble in the side wall. Although I didn't really want to both because I was tired and the trailer was full, I pulled out the jack and changed the tire at 12:30 a.m. Neesa and I got up early the next morning to get our extra tire mounted as our new spare. God had a plan. I'll come back to that statement. The very first place we went into which looked doubtful at best not only mounted our tire but said they had two other replacements. We were excited but our hopes fell for a moment when they couldn't locate them. So we were out in the garage waiting for our extra tire to be mounted when Neesa looks over at the rack in the garage and there they both sit. Two brand new ST225/75R15 10 ply tires. Of course both of them were mounted on someone else's rims. We decided to ask and sure enough the guy sold us one. God is so good. So we thanked the Lord and I remember praying, " Lord you provide all of our needs just as we need them so I might be tempted to ask what's next but instead I am going to pray Thank you for what will come next." Folks be careful how you pray. We ended up needing both of those tires on Saturday. One for the blowout and the other to replace another tire which got messed up I can only guess from the load shift that happened during the blowout. God truly does provide all of our needs We have two more tires coming this week but I rest assured that the God who provides all of our needs will continue to keep us safe and sound as we continue on mission with Him. Pray for us as we are in our 8th week. Everyone is well and doing really good. There has been a really sweet spirit among the staff and that has been a blessing to all. It has been too long since I have been able to write on this on-line journal and I am feeling a little down that I haven't done a better job keeping up with all of this. To say the least, the last two weeks have been extremely busy for all of us and we have had many hours of ministry opportunities that has not only left us extremely filled with our cups running over but also very tired. The boys and girls in both Tillman's Corner and Gulfport treated us with unbelievable shows and represented both themselves and our Lord in a huge way. Thank you so much for your dedication.
This week we have been in Lithia Florida and have seen more rain in the last 4 days than we have seen all summer long. Although the weather has been stormy in the afternoons we have been truly blessed with an awesome group of boys and girls who have met and exceeded all of our expectations. Next week we head to South Carolina and can't wait to get Raul Hernandez back from Youth camp. We all miss you Jeff. Maddie, everyone sends their love. Today we had a little bit of a come to Jesus meeting. The strain of being on the road for as long as we are can sometimes cause even the most loving people to lose their patience so I decided to shift our focus to what it is we love about what we do and and what we love about each other. Tonight everyone wrote a note of affirmation to each other and I am blown away by what an encouraging word will do to lighten the load of a brother and sister.
The verse I can't shake today is "Come to me all who labor and are heavy laden down and I will give you rest." That part I LOVE. Rest is something that we sometimes could use a bit more of. However the second part of that verse is what we all sometimes struggle with. "Take my yoke upon thee and learn from me now for I am gentle and low in heart. Here you'll find rest for your weary soul for my load is easy and my burden is light" Taking on that yoke is something we must daily surrender to. I can visualize that picture of being not in control of my life but being dependent upon God to direct my path. I used to think of this as God steering the yoke like a guy driving a mule team but I more and more see this yoke as me coming along side of my Lord and Savior and learning from Him how to walk and surrendering to His wisdom and experience. It is only when we stop fighting that steadiness that only comes from the Father that we can find rest when walk and work along side of the Savior. When we do we can truly experience the load as being easy and the burden's of life as being light.

To all of our friends and family members please forgive my tardiness and please don't stop praying for each member of our team as we continue on mission for God.
